Abstract

This article explores various phonetic strategies for teaching 
pronunciation in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) contexts. It emphasizes 
the importance of using tools like the phonemic chart, drilling techniques, 
minimal pairs, and technology to help learners develop clear and accurate 
pronunciation. The article highlights how targeted practices, such as addressing 
problematic sounds and focusing on suprasegmental features like stress and 
intonation, can enhance students’ communicative competence. Practical tips and 
activities are provided to support teachers in implementing these strategies 
effectively, making the article a valuable resource for EFL educators seeking to 
improve their learners' pronunciation skills.
