Abstract
This article examines the role and specificity of glucose transporters in the human body. The structure and mechanism of action of the main types of glucose transporters, their tissue specificity and regulation of activity are described. The clinical significance of glucose transporters in pathologies such as diabetes and hypoglycemia is discussed, as well as possible approaches to the treatment of these diseases. Current research in the field of glucose transporters and prospects for future research and development are also presented. The importance of understanding the role of glucose transporters for the development of new methods for the diagnosis and treatment of glucose-related pathologies is emphasized.
