Ushbu maqolada nerv hujayralarining tuzilishi, funktsional xususiyatlari, neyronlar va glial hujayralarning o‘zaro aloqasi, neyrotransmissiya, neyroplastiklik va ularning turli fiziologik va patologik holatlardagi ahamiyati yoritiladi. Maqola, shuningdek, nerv tizimi bilan bog‘liq ba’zi muhim kasalliklarni va zamonaviy neyrobiologik tadqiqot yo‘nalishlarini ham qamrab oladi.
