Abstract
This paper investigates the physicochemical characteristics of the evaporation process of sodium nitrate-containing industrial waste solutions generated in a catalyst production unit. Waste solution obtained from “Maxam-Chirchiq” was used as the research object. The effects of evaporation degree and temperature on the chemical composition, density, viscosity and crystallization behavior of the solution were studied. X-ray diffraction analysis confirmed that the solid phase formed during evaporation mainly consists of sodium nitrate crystals. The obtained results demonstrate that the evaporation stage improves the efficiency of the subsequent potassium nitrate production process
