Abstract
The article analyzes issues of moral choice, humanity, conscience, parental value, youth psychology, and responsibility before society in O'lmas Umarbekov's novel "It's Hard to Be Human". The purpose of the study is to determine how the criterion of being human is revealed through artistic and psychological means in the novel. The article used historical-literary, analytical, hermeneutic, comparative, and linguopoetic analysis methods. According to the results, the conflict between the characters' external success and internal spiritual maturity constitutes the main artistic conflict in the work. The events of the novel, through the depiction of youth life, serve to elevate values such as human virtue, honesty, kindness, loyalty, and responsibility. In conclusion, it can be said that the novel "It's Hard to Be Human" remains an important literary source for modern readers on issues of moral education, personal choice, and spiritual maturity.References
