Abstract
The purpose of this study is to determine how the social environment, moral choice, the issue of freedom, family relations, and personal dignity are illuminated through the images of women in the writer's stories and novellas. The article used historical-literary, comparative-typological, hermeneutic, linguopoetic, and text analysis methods. The stories “Dahshat”, “Mayiz yemagan xotin”, “Ming bir jon”, “Xotinlar” and the novella “Sinchalak” were selected as objects of analysis. According to the research results, Qahhor creates the image of a woman not only as a participant in everyday life but also as an artistic center that reveals injustice in society, defines the criterion of humanity, and embodies psychological conflicts. In conclusion, the images of women in the writer's works perform an important aesthetic function in Uzbek realistic prose in understanding human dignity, exposing ignorance, and expressing ideas of spiritual awakening.References
