Abstract
This article artistically interprets the tragedy of war, human criteria, moral choice, family, and societal relations in O'tkir Hoshimov's novel "Between Two Doors". The research aims to identify the semantic layers of the "two doors" symbol in the novel and the ideas of conscience, loyalty, compassion, and responsibility revealed through the system of characters. The article utilized historical-literary, analytical, hermeneutic, linguopoetic, and comparative approaches. The analysis results show that the author illuminates the theme of war not only through front-line scenes but also through the lives of ordinary people, neighborhood environments, family sufferings, psychological experiences, and moral trials. The novel's composition, polyphonic narrative style, folk language, and symbolic imagery enhance its impact. In conclusion, "Between Two Doors" is evaluated as a socio-psychological novel that deeply expresses the value of human life and the idea of peace in Uzbek prose.References
