Abstract

This article provides a comprehensive analysis of modern scientific and practical approaches to the preservation and management of cultural heritage. The study highlights the transition from traditional conservation models of heritage management to modern integrated, adaptive, and digitally based systems. In addition, it substantiates the scientific and practical significance of contemporary approaches such as the concept of “living heritage,” community-based management, risk management, integration into smart city infrastructure, and digital documentation methods including 3D modeling, GIS technologies, and VR/AR applications. The article emphasizes that cultural heritage should not be viewed solely as a historical object, but also as a strategic system that shapes social memory, economic resources, and collective identity. The findings demonstrate the importance of innovative management models and multidisciplinary approaches in ensuring the sustainable preservation, effective management, and transmission of cultural heritage to future generations.
