Abstract

This article explores the similarities and differences between English and Uzbek proverbs that incorporate proper names, examining their linguistic and cultural significance. By analyzing a selection of proverbs from both languages, the study highlights how cultural contexts shape the meanings and uses of these expressions. It delves into the role of proper names in conveying cultural values, social norms, and historical references, revealing insights into the worldview of each culture.
