Abstract

This scientific article aims to examine the phenomenon of sound alternations in phonetics, which refers to the variations in the pronunciation of sounds within a language. The study delves into the different types of sound alternations, the mechanisms responsible for these alternations, and the linguistic factors influencing their occurrence. Through a thorough analysis of existing literature, this article presents a comprehensive understanding of sound alternations in phonetics, shedding light on their significance and implications in the field of linguistics.
