Ushbu maqolada zamonaviy jamiyatda keng tarqalgan yangiliklar iste’moli (news consumption) va uning inson psixologiyasiga, xususan, xavotir darajasiga ta’siri o‘rganilgan. Internet, ijtimoiy tarmoqlar va ommaviy axborot vositalari orqali doimiy yangiliklar oqimi odamlarning ruhiy holatiga qanday ta’sir qilayotgani global miqyosda dolzarb masalaga aylangan. Tadqiqot davomida ko‘plab insonlar orasida so‘rovnoma o‘tkazilib, yangiliklarni muntazam kuzatib boradigan shaxslar orasida xavotir, asabiylik va tushkunlik holatlari nisbatan yuqori ekanligi aniqlangan.
