Ushbu maqolada ekologik xavfsiz materiallar — "green materials" — ning ilmiy asoslari, tasnifi va hayot sikli tahlili ko‘rib chiqiladi. Biogen (bio-asosli) va qayta ishlangan materiallarning xususiyatlari, ularni ishlab chiqarish va utilizasiya texnologiyalari tahlil qilinadi. Bambuk, kanop tolasi, myitselyum va bioplastiklarning sanoatdagi qo‘llanilishi ko‘rsatiladi. Qayta ishlash sanoatining zamonaviy holati, texnologik muammolar va ularni hal etishning ilmiy-amaliy yo‘llari yoritiladi. Maqola natijalaridan (materials science), atrof-muhit muhandisligi va barqaror rivojlanish siyosatini ishlab chiqishda foydalanish mumkin.
