USE OF AUTHENTIC MATERIALS IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE LESSONS

Abstract

This article analyzes the importance and effectiveness of using authentic materials in English language lessons. Authentic materials are texts, audio and video resources created by native speakers, which reflect the real environment of language use for students. The article highlights the role of such materials in developing students' listening comprehension, reading, writing and speaking skills. It also substantiates the expansion of students' cultural knowledge, increased motivation and interactivity of the lesson process through authentic resources. The author also shows methods for using newspaper articles, films, podcasts and Internet resources in lessons. As a result, authentic materials are considered an important tool for effective and interesting learning of English.
