Abstract

This article provides a comprehensive overview of the linguistic
differences between British English (BrE) and American English (AmE), highlighting
key areas such as historical context, spelling, vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation. It
concludes that while British and American English share a common linguistic heritage, their differences reflect cultural evolution and adaptation. Understanding these variations
is essential for effective communication in a globalized world
