This article explores the concept of morphology, focusing
on the morphemic structure of the English language. It defines and explains the

between free and bound morphemes. The article covers various morphological
processes in English, including affixation, compounding, inflection, and
derivation, demonstrating how they contribute to word formation and
modification. It highlights the flexibility and adaptability of English
morphology, particularly through the integration of external linguistic influences
and the creation of new words in response to technological and cultural changes
