This article analyzes the trade relations between Uzbekistan and the World Trade Organization (WTO), focusing on the dynamics of export and import. It examines the changes in export and import volumes in the period following Uzbekistan's accession to the WTO, trade policies, new integration opportunities, as well as the economic and social impacts of this process. The article highlights the opportunities and risks for Uzbekistan based on analyses of trade relations with WTO member countries. Political and economic reforms implemented and expected to be implemented to increase Uzbekistan’s export potential and diversify imports are discussed.
